BOOKING CONDITIONS FOR PRIVATE HIRE, BUSINESS AND SCHOOLS

Standard Private Hire Payment Terms:

A deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking. The balance of the hire charge is payable no later than 14 days prior to the date of hire.

The company reserves the right to decline to execute any work when the foregoing condition has not been adhered to, in which case the deposit becomes forfeitable by the Hirer to the Company.

An additional fully refundable security deposit is require if the company feels the party will be consuming intoxicating liquids. If anyone is ill due to intocication then this deposit is forfeited for the cleaning of the vehicle. The rates is as follows:
All vehicle sizes £100. The company resrve the right to charge more if the cleansing of the vehicle exceeds the deposits already taken.

 

Contract and Schools Payment Terms:

Full payment is required within 30 days of the date of invoice. We will exercise our statutory right to claim interest (At 8% over the Bank of England base rate) and compensation for debt recovery costs under the Late Payment legislation if we are not paid according to our agreed credit terms.

 

Parking Costs, Tolls, Coach Space Reservation, Drivers Accommodation and Meals:

The responsibility for the payment of coach parking, tolls and space reservation remains that of the Hirer. If the Hirer books a tour which involves the drivers staying away from base it is the Hirers responsibility to arrange bed breakfast and evening meals for the driver for the duration of the tour unless previously arranged in writing with the company for them to provide this.

 

Cancellation by the Hirer:

The company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee on a sliding scale as follows:

       1.  10 days or more - Loss of Deposit ( Private Hire Only )
       2.  9 days before departure 25% of Total Hire Charge
       3.  5 days before departure 40% of Total Hire Charge
       4.  1 - 2 days before departure 60% of Total Hire Charge
       5.  Day of Hire 100% of the Hire Charge

 

Cancellation by the Company:

In the event of any emergency, riot, civil commotion, strike, lock out, stoppage or restraint of labour or in the happening of any event over which the company has no control (including adverse weather and road conditions) or in the event of the hirer taking any action to vary agreed conditions unilaterally, the company may, by returning all money paid and without further or other liability, cancel the contract. In no circumstances shall the Company be liable for any loss of actual or potential turn over, business or profits suffered by the hirer or any related costs and expenses.

 

Change of Departure/Arrival Times:

The vehicle may be withdrawn if the group are more than 15 minutes late for the requested return time. (Private Hire Only) If your journey requirements fit between a morning and afternoon school run, we will have been able to discount the hire charge considerably. A condition of this hire charge is that you must leave your destination at the time shown on your booking confirmation. If you do not adhere to this and the vehicle is not available to complete its afternoon commitments through no fault of the coach driver, our company or unforeseen road conditions you will be invoiced for the cost of the replacement vehicles.

 

Additional Charges:

The company reserve the right to impose additional charges on the hirer following completion of the hire if the passengers have left the vehicle in an unreasonably untidy condition or having required additional time or mileage which was not included for in the original booking. The company reserves the right to charge a £100 refundable deposit on top of the booking fee. This will be refunded upon checking the reasonable condition of the returned coach.

 

Smoking and Alcohol:

Hirers should note that the Company operates a NO SMOKING policy on board Company vehicles. Consumption and carrying of alcohol in the passenger compartment of company vehicles is also forbidden.

 

Seatbelts:

The use of seatbelts is a legal requirement and where fitted should be worn at all times.

 

Drivers Hours:

The hours of operation for the driver are regulated by law, and the hirer accepts the responsibility of ensuring the hire keeps to the journeys and times agreed by the company. Neither the hirer nor any passengers shall delay or otherwise interrupt the journey in such a way that the driver is at risk of breaching regulations relating to drivers hours and duty time. If any breach is likely to occur, the hirer will be responsible for any additional costs incurred unless it is outside the control of the hirer.

 

Acceptance of Conditions:

The receipt of your completed Booking Confirmation Form confirms your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.

 

Provision of vehicles:

The company reserves the right to substitute another vehicle or driver (including those of other operators) or ancillary facilities for all or part of the hiring subject to which substitutes being of at least equivalent quality. The company reserves the right to provide a larger vehicle than that specified at no additional charge.

 

Wheelchair Accessible Coach:

The lift on the wheelchair accessible coach can take a maximum weight of 300kg, this includes the chair and user.
